What to place and where to place in your kitchen orientation? There’s a lot of precious space in kitchen which you might not takes full advantage of. Here are some great ideas for you on how to arrange a well-organised kitchen cabinet and storage. Near the stove – Everyday Tools

The space around the stove is the “prime area” in any kitchen.  Keep all your everyday kitchen tools or cooking ingredients near the stove – shovel, spoon, seasoning all within arm’s reach to minimise traffic within the kitchen.








Beside the Sink – Dish Drainer

Rinse your bowls and plates in kitchen sink and then stacking them in the dish drying rack. So, it is very logical to place your dish drainer beside the sink right? If you are in a small kitchen, goes for single rather than double bowl for the sink.

Home Makeover Story: A Bright and Storage-friendly Home

How to make the irregular long-shaped interior layout to work for you? In this case, a 53 m2 long and narrow old house with leakage problems, is being turned into a storage-friendly space with abundant of natural sunlight — a truly liveable home.

This is an old building with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room layout. In the original orientation, master bedroom is the only south-facing room in this house, while the odd placing of partition walls caused narrow and dark kitchen and corridor.

As a house for family of 3 peoples, the design requirement is building a subdued yet simple interior, with a touch of Korean style to meet with the teenage daughter’s preference.


The biggest remodeling in this old house is tore down the partition wall between balcony and master bedroom, to let in sunlight into kitchen and corridor. The original half wall near the entryway was dismantled as well to transform into a wall of shoes storage. And, what noteworthy is that, designer has constructed raised wood floor for the master bedroom area, an elevated structural to provide extra hidden storage.




After Renovation the door is directly open to a U-shaped kitchen, an unordinary entryway for a residential case. The white brick wall starts from kitchen and continues to Living Area to set a sense of unify. A yellow barn door sited in the middle to fence out the kitchen and living area.

Open Concept Living Area

Although it’s originally a compact narrow layout, the interior feels spacious after demolished the partition walls. The location of balcony partition become wine shelf, and having open concept on master bedroom and dining area.


Yellow barn door replaced the ordinary sliding door, to fence out the space function and block off the cooking smell from entering into the living area.



Hairpin Legs dining table and bench. Bench allows flexibility to provide more seats than individual piece.




The elevated floors provide extra storage to keep cloth and others not-commonly used stuff. While the windowsill is being extended into a seating area, which the family can gather and immerse in sunlight during weekend.


A “floating” bedside table have a youthful lively sense.




Storage is the key design point in this home. Even the tiny space between fridge and wall was fully utilised to store up groceries.




A glass door separates the wet area and dry area in toilet. Mosaic tiles add characteristic without causing chaotic.

As a bedroom for a teenage girl, the designer placed wooden partition columns to divide the bedroom into study and sleeping area.










Interior Design/Renovation Story: Love is in My Home


A newly-wed bought 1,000 square feet three-bedroom house, but decided to turn it into 2-bedroom layout, to enjoy more spacious and comfortable life with their kitty.

The design of the entryway leaves great first impression for every guest who entering this home, welcoming right from the start.

The combination of wood an white tones give a sense of tranquil Japanese Zen-like atmosphere. On the left is a wall of cabinets to store and hide shoes.  Stylish and sturdy clothes hangers and hooks on the other side.



Fulfilled functional and aesthetic requirements in the same time.

The decisions to tear down space structures and opened-up more large windows, allows sunlight freely flows through to flood the living room with warm and cozy ambiance, formed a inviting livable environment that the owners wished for.




The choose of white gauze curtains to filter in abundant natural lights into the room. Sofa sit right next to the window, great for leisure and reading. Pick a book and brew your own perfect cup, that’s what we called “LIFE”.




Flanked a wicker lounge chair beside the window. A decorative wicker basket as plant holder, an unusual container for planting that can draws attentions.
Looking closer, you’ll find out that all the cushions and soft furnishings are in same natural green tones, create a sense of unify in home.



Naked brick wall giving the modern Japanese-style room a rustic accent. Replace TV stand with wall shelf, placed under it is a set of classified storage compartments.


Small knick-knacks add soulful warmth to a home. Decorate the wall with Knitted Arts, the woven texture added exotic depth and character to the space.



Love is Togetherness. White and pale colors dominated the space in a visually comfortable way. A small dining table is big enough for couple to sit closer.



Extend the windowsill to become a narrow wall mounted table, now the cat has extra space to move or chill, although it’s originally designed as office desk.


The largest change in the layout is tear down the wall and turned TWO bed rooms into ONE master bedroom. Floating flower pendant light, tassel, knitted curtains soften the ambience in this private area.


Staircase side table, a structural yet functional choice.



Exposed closet creatively display the owner’s collection.



Children room run wild with imagination. For their future child (or children).



Balcony with built-up less than 2m2, with a selection of hanging planters, save space for room while bringing beauty and liveliness.



Love is in my  HOME. 7m2 of space is allocated for kitchen area.  Kitchen is not just a functional room, it requires extra love and attention. The owner pays a lot of effort planning for a neat and well-organized kitchen.

The white tiles infused the space of touch of Scandinavian sleek and clean.  Whereas the placement and organization of this kitchen is learned from Japanese Art of De-cluttering.




Except for the floor and hanging kitchens cabinets, they have cleverly let kitchen utensils go vertical. The installed of crossbars and wall mounted magnetic knife bars, squeeze a little extra storage out of a compact kitchen.



A simple decoration can brighten up your day and make your smile.
